A log on rivers and lakes
Following scenic byways and highways across the country from Oregon to Ohio and back, I drove along and across more than two dozen rivers and lakes – from the Columbia River where I live now, to the Auglaize River where I grew up. The following is a log of the rivers and lakes I visited on my road trip. I interacted with each of them except the Mississippi River, which I crossed over but did not stop to visit.

Composed in December 2019 and early January 2020 – seven months after my dog Dixie and I took a road trip in mid-to-late-May across the United States from Oregon to Ohio and back. I visited the childhood home where I grew up and had not seen in 40 years. Photos by me, except where noted.
