Begin Again, Always: Welcome to Forever Fledging

There is a distinct magic in a fresh start, but a fresh start doesn’t mean leaving behind your roots and the ground you have already walked. In becoming more awake to the world, I believe we cannot truly move forward without understanding where we have been.

For six years, from 2016 to 2021, my words lived in a digital home called Into the Woods (subtitled “Whispers of old trees”). When I stepped away from that space, I let go of the metrics, the followers, and the comments—but I couldn’t let go of the writing.

Those essays, poems, and vignettes were the footprints of my creative evolution. I am so grateful to have recovered those posts and given them a permanent resting place in the archives here. If you wander down into those older years, you will find the roots of what I am building today.

But a tree doesn’t stop growing at its roots.

Welcome to Forever Fledging. This space is named for the lifelong beginner in all of us—the part of the spirit that is always learning how to stretch its wings, always testing the air, always preparing to leap, always exploring new skies. To live is to be continuously arriving, and this blog is a dedication to that ongoing journey.

Like a train cutting through the night, we don’t always need to see the final destination to appreciate the thrill of the momentum. The joy is entirely in the movement, the motion, and the pure freedom of moving forward wholeheartedly—like the joy of a fledgling is in the flying.

Because a life in flight looks at the world from many different angles, this blog will not focus on just one topic. Instead, it will be a collection of observations gathered from three distinct vantage points—three core pillars of truth:

• The Quiet: This is the space for stillness, close observations of the natural world, field notes, poems, lyrics, and the poetic reflections of a contemplative life.
• The Bold: Here, you will find vibrant chronicles of purposeful adventures, creative discoveries, travel tales, relationship reflections, and the art we make along the way.
• The Fearless: This is a dedication to vulnerability and urgent inquiries—facing heavy topics, navigating complex struggles, and finding the courage to speak up, stand out, and address the broken parts of our world that demand our attention.

Thank you for being here at the very beginning of this new track and this new horizon. Whether you are an old friend returning or a new traveler passing through, I invite you to settle in, explore the archives, and leap into the new seasons with me.

We are, after all, forever fledging.
